The People Who Take The Mystery Out of the San Francisco Bay Muds

Daly City, California

I would assign the tagline to the office staff in Daly City as "Excellence is Our Standard"

Right from the beginning, personal and professional pride abound.  What a great corporate culture exists at both the Daly City and Irvine offices.  People see and hear each other in an authentic way.

I admit, they also know how to spoil me with a superb lunch! Right from the start, I knew it was going to be a great day!!

Lisa and Logan both asked me to apply the training to "Bay Muds" in the San Francisco Bay, among other local geologic settings.   I'm not an expert in the bay muds but I know who to ask for help.  The California Geological Survey is among the best in the nation and they came thought with flying colors.  There are some historical milestone publications and some newer research summarized in an insightful dissertation that I posted on our website:  https://midwestgeo.com/sf-bay-mud.php

If it weren't for Lisa and Logan, I would have missed the opportunity to incorporate the bay muds into the training experience, and offer the resources.  I learned a few basic fundamentals about the bay muds and was inspired to create a video describing the USCS field classifications found on the back side of the FIELD GUIDE FOR SOIL AND STRATIGRAPHIC ANALYSIS.

I want to mention specific people by name - besides Lisa and Logan - but I generally don't list the entire class on these blog summaries, but each person at EKI Environment & Water deserves to be on the Honor Roll for their great attitudes and mastery of excellence in their work.   Nice job, team!  Keep up the good work.
